A little XD mod

I identify myself as a .45 person. I appreciate physics and I like making big holes. That said, I'm practical. While I routinely tease my 9mm friends, I recognize quantity has a quality all of its own: More holes, which drove my shift to double stack carry. The 13+1 capacity of my XDm is a good star...

Re: A Levergun on the "Top Ten Trunk Guns" list

I guess I don't get the specifics of "trunk gun." I suppose, since it's locked away, it's not a personal defense weapon, but'cept for the first one. The fail I see is that where I live I cannot have a loaded rifle or shotgun in the car where I can access it. So BIG FAIL if I NEED a gun fo...

Re: A Levergun on the "Top Ten Trunk Guns" list

I aged with 3 of them, but the first one is a spray n pray pistol for cryin out loud. What's with that? You'd be surprised at how accurate that little AK pistol is with a red dot equipped. That said, the list is full of fail. It has a lot of high priced products you would be sad to lose if somethin...

Re: .300 Blackout or .357

You bring up a lot of issues, but most of them are based on what people are used to or their perception of things. A lot of people bought 300BO's thinking they were somehow this powerful long range round (why I don't know) only to find out otherwise. I had no issues with using a 300 Whisper out to ...

Re: .300 Blackout or .357

Is it it a capacity thing? Because 30-30 is virtually .300blk and more common, especially if you're already considering a levergun. But if the 357 vs 300 is the thing, then I'm going to go with 300. Logic as follows: Rossi . It's realistically your only option if you're looking at a 357 truck gun. I...

Mine was pretty good. The tube feed issue that I started with seemed to go away after a few trips to the range. If those are your rounds part of the problem is the crimp. A roll crimp works better for these guns. Not sure the crimp accounted for driving the nose of the bullet into the upper chamber wall at such an angle where it would not feed, or the four other types of ammo with the same problem as mention...
