I did buy 2 boxes of 200 grain Hdy flatnose in an online auction.

I have 9422s in 22 LR and mag, and grade one and grade 2 BL-22s. I like them all, but when its time to introduce a young person to shooting, the BL22s come out. Usually, with a rest and a little practice, a new shooter can pick off 9mm cases at 20 yards with regularity.

Awesome Picture! One thing I noticed is that some of the hunters were getting long in the tooth and they didn't wear glasses or have peep sights on the rifles. That tells me either they had exceptional eyesight or they weren't preoccupied with moa accuracy as long as they could shoot minute of deer!!

Back in the 50's, what would have been the most common bullet wright for a 30-30?

I know that there is about a 3.5" difference in the POI at 100 yards between 180 and 150 grain bullets. The 150's shoot higher.

The best loadI have found so far with my M88 in 308 is 41 grains of 3031.
There are other loads and powders that I haven't tried yet, but that's the best so far.
