Basically, my wife is wanting a new holster for her Kimber ultra carry and has settled on one. However, she is wanting her initials placed on the side. My first question is can it be done on a existing holster? Second, who would you recommend?

It doesn't take much at all to build an AR with minimum specialty tools. You can't really screw up with exception of the tightness of the barrel. AK's, FAL's, M1A' etc can be built at home with ease. The problem is finding quality kits to do. Cheap AK and FAL kits dried up long ago.

Both are over priced especially the Colt. Unless you live in a ban state and can only buy a pre ban gun, keep looking. When it comes to AR's, 99% of the time you are paying a premium for the name on the side. Mil spec is mil spec. Colt is no different.

I have spent quite a bit of time in San Antonio (military) and the best times I had were over in Fredricksburg. The food reminded me of home and we hiked a dozen times on and around Enchanted Rock.
