If you convert it you ruin the value of the rifle. Use the internet and search for bullets. I will bet you find some good bullets out their somewhere.

Must be made in India, just box it up and I will take care of it. Sounds interesting but if it were Japanese there would be proof marks and such all over it. I wonder if it is Brazilian? If it were Italian it should have plenty of markings too. Please post fotos.......

If your 1895 were an old originol I would agree that the pressures could be a problem. The modern made 1895 is a different story. You can be sure that, due to legal problems, your modern rifle with its modern steel can handle the job. I would definetly call the gunsmith that installed the barrel to ...

I shoot a modern Winchester 94 and a modern Sharps in 38-55. For a 260gr FNGC bullet I use 30.0gr of H-4198. I got the data off LoadData.com, and both rifles like it and their is no pressure signs. It is an accurate load, and the deer are very unhappy with it.

Most all of the 6.5 millimeter bullets seem to fly true and kill what they hit. I have three 6.5 Grendle's, two 6.5x55 Sweds, and a 6.5x284 for my "long range" necessities. The sectional density is excellent and they fly pretty flat too.
