I have found Marlin 1895 parts at Western gun parts in Canada. If they have what you need it takes 2 or 3 weeks to get through customs coming into the states.
I noticed that your rifle is stainless and at times they have had quite a few parts for them. good luck with your search.

Don't bother with the Lyman borescope- mine did not last very long before the connector from the scope to the unit broke off. It is not repairable.
Get a Teslong instead- less money and much better resolution.

Sometimes you don't have a choice if you want to shoot. I have Macula Degeneration and it is use a scope or not shoot at all.
I have been using scopes for at least 15 years other wise shooting would now be a distant memory.

I have one that was a CL 32-20 that would not shoot anything-cast or jacketed , fast or slow. Never figured out why and no one else that tried got it to shoot either. Finally gave up after 3 years and rebarreled it to 25-20 and never looked back. Should have rebarreled it 2.9 years sooner.

I suspect that your shell holder is rusted in- hit it with some penetrating oil of some kind and let it set a day or two.Crack it a time or two with a piece of wood to loosen it then make sure the priming punch is withdrawn from the shell holder- should come out if it is like the ones I have seen.

In my 38-55 improved I can't get but just a little over 2000 fps with a 320 grain cast so ,it looks like what you are hoping for can not be reached with a 300 grain jacketed bullet. Good luck with your search.

I am glad that when I lived in Kansas the deer did not know high velocity was a requirement. I hunted with a .45 cal. muzzle loader and it did the job well, just had to hunt close- can be difficult on the open prairies but it worked. Really did put HUNT in hunting.

I would bet that you will find that if you try to ream out a set of dies that you will ruin a reamer unless it is a carbide reamer. Finished dies are heat treated to a pretty hard state.

In the 88 the cartridge over all length needs to be 2.8 inches or less if it is like mine. Pressure should not be a problem, it should take anything a bolt rifle will staying within max load recommendations.
