Couldn’t afford or find one as a youngster and by the time I could it was on to powder burners. Just got it off gunbroker :D So far in the house pellet trap it’s a shooter as seems like a great gun built right, when America done those type things. The pellets available today really make a difference...

That’s too bad but like you say you can leave stuff sit out and expect much later. I have an old Briggs 8 cubic inch gear reduction motor from a planet junior about the same way.

That BCS stuff is nice but you need very deep pockets to own it.

I’m still riding my 1985 fxrs with the original drive belt and the engine has never been broken into. It does not leak oil either and runs excellent. Things that had to be replaced since new are one ignition module, starter relay, battery cable end, along with oil , tires and normal wear items like ...

You won’t beat a manually operated action for load versatility. Shooting squib loads to full power, cast to full metal patch the lever gun, revolver, single shot and the like will do it.

IIRC the big knob might be in the way. With a lathe it would go in behind the chuck jaws, but that’s been 25 or so years ago.
