YK, My Father was in the 101st Airborne during WWII. He shipped out from the U.S. in the fall of 1944 and arrived in France just in time for the Battle of the Bulge. These are his medals. I had to send off to the VA to get them. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh197/66GTO_01/P1140008.jpg He was n...

Check the shadows also. The shadows under the trucks are directly underneath, as if high noon. Then look at the shadow of the wildlife officer.

We grow 'em big in Florida. That one looks like a T- Rex. True story. A few years ago dog hunters in the north part of the county kept losing dogs. Nobody knew what was happening to them until a hunter who used radio collars was tracking down a lost dog. He followed the signal to a wallow in a creek...

I'd like to hear about the Kel-Tec too. I have been thinking about that little 380 for a pocket gun. Ted, I've had a Kel-Tec P3AT (.380) for a couple of years and it has been a good gun. It is so easy for pocket carry that I frequently forget I have it with me. I have the clip installed, kind of li...

Come January 18 I'll celebrate my 20th anniversary with my employer. Got another 18 or so to go at least... I've been retired 4 1/2 years now. Eighteen years seems like a long way to go, but it kind of sneaks up on you. A word to the wise, plan now for retirement (meaning save for retiremen...

nothing beats a 2x2x2 carrier, except a speedloader. When I started my law enforcement career we carried Model 15 S&W's loaded with .38 Spcl. +P. We learned to reload with 2X2X2 pouches during timed drills. We also trained at night doing partial reloads and learning to index the cylinder in the...

The least harm/most good will come from electing a President who will nominate additional strict constructionists to the federal bench, including - most important of all - the SCOTUS. The next President will probably nominate at least 2 in their first term - and perhaps more, especially if they get...

Re: who wants to carry all that stuff?

I was a big city plain-clothes cop. Carried 5 rounds in my Model 36 for years. That was adequate according to our book of procedure and I never felt I wanted or needed more. I never saw a situation where a ccw licensee needed to reload. I've have seen plaintiff lawyers emphasize that a shooter for ...

People tend to misunderstand what global warming means. It's kind of an outdated term in the scientific community having been replaced with global climate change. Global climate change has been a constant since long before man entered the picture. The area of Florida where I live has seen the coast...

Well I'm up north (North Florida  ) and we will hit the teens tonight with wind chill in the single digits. I thought I would call Al Gore and invite him down to experience global warming in sunny Florida. Remember a few years ago when he was scheduled to give a speech on global warming in NYC...

When I carry my KelTec P3AT (.380), a total of 19 rounds. All of this in my right front pants pocket. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh197/66GTO_01/mini-12-30-07_2025.jpg If I carry my .45, no reloads, just the 11 in the pistol. Again in my right front pocket. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/...

Better than a knife. I was once told it was an ice pick requiring neither strength nor much dexterity to use. I've been looking at Keltec's .380s to use with Buffalo Bore's new .380 ammo. Same size as my old (now returned to original owner) Colt Junior but lighter and better. http://i256.photobucke...

No store around here, but I hope they don't go out of business. I have ordered several thousand rounds of ammo from them over the internet this past year using my Buyer's Cub 10% discount.

I think I cleaned them out of Fiocchi .44 mag. 240 gr. H.P. for about $19 a box of 50. earlier this month.

I read the book several years ago. Should be a good movie, not as good as Lonesome Dove, but that is a high standard to meet.

Is this a TV/Cable movie or in theaters? Who are the actors?

I tried moving the Puma crescent butt plate to the recommended position, but didn't like it. My soluti...

A friend of mine had a stainless one (he recently traded it). He carried it with bird shot for snakes and 000 buck shot or slugs for defense. The 2 1/2" shells contain three 000 shot, loaded in line. He never told me what the pattern was with the 000 buck, but I suspect it would be it would be ...
