Have a bit of info, not sure how fast its going but im close, maybe 1900 fps? 2 + in high at 100 yd would give you about 7 in, low at 200 yd. with around 1100 foot pounds of energy, plenty good for elk or deer, ive shot some of the barnes but never had a shot at elk but have shot deer with the barne...

I also use the 130 speer in a AE trapper, shoots great but I did put a scope on it, figured it was made for a scope
and works great with my ageing eyes

yep did some shooting today, loaded 50 38 spl then got bored with that & un loaded a bunch of ammo in a 45 colt lever gun
& then went to work with a 38-40 revolver, best deal was the wife took me out for supper!1

I have seen that exact same thing with old cases that I suspected were loaded years ago with corrosive primers
some were old 30wcf, 35-55 & 32-40 & some broke in the die, since then I no longer use old cases
any idea how old your cases are?

CWD is at its worst in se Wyoming, 8 out of 10 deer I shot tested positive, have no idea how many elk or deer were positive that I never had tested??? so far no ill effects, I gave up on hunting in the last 5 years its a big disappointment to work hard and take the time to seek out a nice mature bul...

Yep they look real good, same way I do it & has worked well for about 5000 bullets with the 255 gr. Lee mold
did buy a 200 gr. Lee mold & one vaquero with the bids head grip makes it a lot more pleasant to shoot

I would say 0 -7 times a week, my job is winter related mostly with some sat. & sun. work but I now seldom do much
propane work until October or so,my shooting & casting will go into hi gear very soon
I do all my shooting at home so its very handy

Lyman has loads up to 20000 cup with a 200 gr, jacketed with 2400 & other powders ( in strong actions only) for about 1600 fps I have used the max load of 2400 in a newer Marlin 44-40 with no problems & very accurate, new starline brass is what I used how much more pressure will the brass hold up to...

For its age it looks good to me, have one made in 1911 but its a 32 special, its story is that it spent 50 years in several
sheep herders wagons & pretty much looks like it too but the bore is good & shoots well

Very nice guns & some fine shooting!
Have a Marlin 1894 S in 44-40 it will cut holes at 60 yd, with a scope on it from 200 - 245 gr. cast bullets
with out the scope its about 3 - 4 in. group :oops:

not what you need but its a good bullet & I use it in a Colt revolver & a 1894 Marlin, I checked to see if I had any loaded to check OAL but I must have shot them all & now only have the RCBS bullet loaded, I would think it would work in your guns

Have 3 guns in stainless, Rossi 92 in 45 colt, Ruger BH in 45 colt & my pocket gun is a S&W 642 in 38 spl.
blue is my choice but do like my stainless guns, that stainless just don't rub off like those pretty blued guns

Them are two very nice Winchesters!!

Sorry I don't cast for the 25-35, most of my guns I do cast for but what cast bullets I did shoot in the 25-35 gave
dismal results, if you run across the speer 75 grain FN bullet try them out, the 117 hornady is a great bullet also
