I just installed a new skinner brass front sight on my 94 win. 30-30 because of the same problem. It made a big diffrence with the rear peep sight.

go with the 357, you can shoot it cheap and will kill a deer with no problems. I have had 4 over the years and liked them all.

rcbs makes cowboy dies just for lead bullets. I have a set for both my 30-30 and 45-70. they work great. I think you may be able to get just the expander die at midwayusa.com.

I have a mossberg ATR100 in 30-06, I did a little work on it and with match bullets will do 1/2" at 100yds. The action is based on remington700,also the 700 scope mounts fit this action. I bought another one for my son inlaw who loves his. For the money it cant be beat.

I have a stack on safe like ben t and have had it about 3 1/2 years with no problems. It is fire rated as the other high dollar ones. I would buy another one.
