Rusty that's exactly the reason to try different loads. Of course pellet count goes up or down with either size. I swear by open chokes for the 410. I have 2 410's, a High Standard Flite-King skeet gun and a CZ Bobwhite. The HS has fixed SKEET choke, I used 3" #5s on ducks before the non toxic stuff...

I have at times used 4's , I'm not real impressed in a 2&1/2" shell. In 3" ya get a bit more shot. Yes they do work well on pheasants but I much prefer 5's in 3" but very hard to find. I use narf's in my imp cylinder and the 4's in the mod barrel.

I use narf's and only narf's in my 410. I don't roll crimp though. I converted my old MEC 700 from 12 to 410. I get all my little gun supplies from ballistic products.

Here in the NE we are looking at another wetter than average year, last year I think we had almost 180 days of rain. It sucks as far as doing outdoor activities but the water table is high and the fishing is good! :D

That's a very nice looking riffel, looks a lot like the model 60- yes they are great 22s. When I lived out in Colorado I kept my 22s sighted in for 100, 6000 ft elevation (sure helps rimfires ) and would use it out to 200 with about a prarie dog of hold over while shooting up the dog towns.

I do love our trees here but I despise the leaves when they fall! I spent my summers at my grandmother's in Woodfords CA. I have always loved the sage brush country for as long as i can remember. Plus there ain't nothing like a fresh prarie dog town and a pile of ammo just waiting to be shot up!

Back when I was in gummsmiff skool I found a Remington 600 Mohawk action , I put an air gauged Douglas on it , chambered it for 22-250. Timney trigger that is set at ounces, blasted a bunch of p-dogs with it. Sadly no place to shoot ground hogs here anymore.
