Sorry just saw your question. I have not messed with the trigger and had never put scale to it. I knew to was nearer 2 pounds, so I just tried it. Exactly 32 ounces! It breaks like a glass rod though. I may move it down if I ever get through all the other projects already only half done! Nice target...

Good for you. I have a second year as well. It can out shoot me just about all the time! Mine came with the Leopold 36X BR. Love shooting this rifle! Only issue is the ranges in my area are limited to 100 - 200 meters and the 200s are rare!

You can take an ounce of varnish (pick what will work with the current finish) and add a few drops of red or brown oil paint to tint the varnish. Same technique as Minwax PolyShades.

The steel barrel and the alloy barrel nut expand at different rates. If steel is 1, aluminum is around 5x steel, and this can cause an issue as you have noticed.

Ammonia will eat out the copper left in the barrel. Most copper removers have a higher amount of ammonia than plain cleaners.
