GK in the not to recent past Texas has legalized open carry, switchblades, double edged knives, bowie knives, knives over 5.5 " blades, spears and swords. You can't carry over 5.5" at bars, schools, football games. We are moving in the right direction here. Never to late to migrate 8)

Re: Buying Other People's Handloads

About four years ago my brother and his BIL and I were in a gravel quarry with a sheer wall on one end of caliche, where we had a dozen or so pistol on two tailgates and were shooting up a storm. Bro handed me a new sp101 saying"try it." I had just loaded my new colt 1911 and said no thanks. He step...

Re: A New Source of Synthetic Ivory for Grips

Never tried to color any of these synthetic materials. Have had good luck staining bone with alcohol based amber stains to give an older yellowed look. It depends I guess on how porous it is. If not porous, any stain might rub off easily. I do admire the cross hatching of this stuff you posted, best...

All types of adhesives have strengths and weaknesses: Epoxy : no known solvent, can leave distinct and highly visible glue lines. Gorilla glue: squeeze out is prolonged, can stain, no known solvent. Wood glue: excellent on wood repairs, solvent = heat for removal, but will fail with high heat ( trun...

Of four neighbors I have there I've never met that one, from Houston I think. Rancher to east of me with a shared fence, has a big patch of dove weed by his tank. Dove weed only gets about 4-5 inches high, I rarely lose a bird there, and hunt his patch often. We occasionally share a wild game only t...

Went to the ranch last week to do some chores and other business. When I pulled the truck up to the patch, I saw that ...
