Re: Win M1892-- action closes with slight difficulty
The collar stays on the guide(pin) but it seems like it is suppose to hang up on what I call a shoulder (a downward bend) which is a 90 degree hook on the ejector. Is the collar suppose to stay hung up on the on this? It slides off the hook(shoulder). I don't know if this is right or wrong. I am thi...

Win M1892-- action closes with slight difficulty
On closing the action, the last inch of lever movement is firm. The collar at the end of the spring on the ejector keeps slipping off the shoulder. Would the collar slipping off cause difficult closing?? Does anyone have the inside and outside diameter of the collar??

Re: 1892 firing pin
I got the firing pin to slide smoothly. It seems the rear end of the pin was a little oversized. It would slide in, but when the front end(pin) reached the hole there was binding. I filed the pin hole a small amount and reduced the diameter of the body perhaps .001--.0015. Now it slides as it should...

1892 firing pin
I have a Win 1892 early model(large firing pin). Unfortunately it broke and I got another. I am having a heck of a time fitting it. If you rotate it 180 degrees, it slides right in. If I try to put it in the way it should be, it goes in but the pin does not seem to line up with the hole in the bolt....

Re: accurize M94
I had slugged the barrel.
It is .309. I sized the bullets .311 and when I didn't get favorable accuracy, I tried .313 bullets. No difference. I never shot jacketed bullets from this rifle.

Re: accurize M94
Nice to meet you Joe. Hiram Abif Hiram Maxim Hiram Walker and now your Dad and myself --- an impressive list. Winchester M94. I ahve tried about 20 loads at 50 yds. I have had occasional good groups, and then when I repeat the load, its all over--not even a hint of being similar to the first group. ...

accurize M94
New guy here. Hello. I'm at a point where I can't believe my loads are as innaccurate as they seem, I think it is the rifle. I read the article by P Kelly on accurizing a M94. I am a little mixed up. The article says to measure back 2" from the front of the forearm and cut grooves for a piece o...
