I worked at Yosemite NP back in the 70s as a security guard for the concession company. The place was overrun with Brown bears. Are you sure they were Brown Bears? Brown Bears and Grizzly are the same species and I believe the last California Grizzly was killed back in 1922. I saw ALLOT of Black Be...

I worked at Yosemite NP back in the 70s as a security guard for the concession company. The place was overrun with Brown bears. You could always find them wherever there was food. Any dumpster was usually full of them. I was chased back to my truck on 3 occasions by really mad Bears. The guys told m...

This outfit has great service on blankets and I would imagine their Capotes are done very nicely.

I've been tempted to get one myself but living in Las Vegas makes it seem kind of ridiculous. I can see myself on the strip in August with my Capote. HA!

Kind of a long shot here, (levergun pun!), but you might check to see if the cartridge guide spring is catching and hanging up the fired case. It is the flat spring above the chamber that guides the cartridge into the chamber. If they get bent down they can catch.

Both are nice but IMHO, go ahead and buy the best. Colt or LMT cost but a few $100 more but are top of the line ARs. They are 100% mil-spec and will never let you down, either in function or at resale. Sabre and S&W also good value ARs. JMHO of course and as usual YMMV. :) A word of warning here...

Howdy, What blew my mind, easily done, is that if a SR-71 could fly at full speed close to the groung it could overtake and run into a 180gr. bullet out of a 30-06. Man oh man. John Someone once told me that if you fired a 30-06 bullet to New York from LA and the SR-71 left the same time, i...

Ahem... You are about to make perhaps the largest purchase of your life. Don't be a sucker. You don't owe anyone anything, including consideration, when you are spending your own hard-earned money. Ask them if they are crazy referring you to a sub-standard property, and tell them how you feel about...

I think the Italian replica percussion revolvers are one of the last real bargins left in the world of firearms any more. You can get a lot for your money with the Ubertis and Piettas. Well made and great shooters.

Look at the Konus brand also at optics planet. Jim Owens, (www.jarheadtop.com) rates them almost as good as the Kowas. The 80MM sells for about $225 now. I am going to order one. All the ratings i have seen say it is a great buy.

I don't know what they will do about prices but I am worried about what their bean counters will think about the profit margin on the 39A. That has to be a small margin, forged steel, real checkered Walnut. I can see the push for cost cutting/price increase in the future.
