I might add that I approach this from my point of view, ie, I carry an LCP 380...not the most accurate tool to shoot with from very far away.

I had that problem all the time with a .54 Renegade. Then a fella said that taking the warm rifle out into the cold cause it to sweat on the inside. I'd keep the rifle in the cold trunk the night before and load a cold gun. "Seemed" like it helped a bit.

My scientific wild-azzed guess is that many times the difference between the old models and new are that they are well broken in. Remington is also offering a big rebate on .22 ammo...a ten buck rebate on a brick that brings it down to about 15. The cheapest I've seen it for awhile. (I used to avoid GreenBox rimfire, but Mr Gunblast Quinn sez the quality is back and it's all just fine these days)
