Not so much "change out" but "add to". Always have my Seecamp 32 in my pocket. If visiting someplace questionable (downtown Richmond, etc) I add a 1911 in an inside the waistband holster. In the woods, either hiking or hunting, a S&W M&P40 .

Thanks again for all the nice comments! I did engrave it, along with drawfiling it and wearing out several sheets of sandpaper while polishing it by hand. Winchester 73 project complete (almost)

Just finished this 1873 Winchester, 38-40 round barrel rifle w/single set trigger(made in 1882). Feels good to finally finish a "personal" project. Took it to the range this morning to test fire using some old hand loads, and while they all went off, they were hitting the 50 yard target si...

Thanks again for all the nice comments. I engrave full time, mostly jewelry, but really enjoy engraving guns. Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the kind words. I did the engraving and the polishing. Glad you like it so far. Found a piece of exhibition grade walnut that should look real nice on it. Pick it up next Saturday. Still need a barrel and I think I've decided on a 44-40.

Project 73

Just received this back from Classic Guns in IL, where it was case-colored. One of the few times I've had something re-finished that it came back looking exactly the way I hoped it would. This started out as a rusty but complete(except for the dust cover) action, with a fair amount of pitting. Lots ...

Here's one I did that was made in 1964. It was rusty and had some serious pitting. I hand sanded it, then scratched it up. It is in the white, and I have shot it weekly and in matches for about 2 1/2 years. Just have to make sure to oil it after each use. Hoosierdaddy http://i63.photobucket.com/albu...

Hey Hobie, I've seen that view quite a few times on the way to Monterey in Highland County to deer hunt. Always beautiful, and looks different each time over the mountain.
