Was he coloured? the award system often works on prejudice. I would have thought this soldier clearly deserved a Medal of Honour. Sako do not make break open single shot rifles unfortunately, and Sako rifles are also not what they once were in terms of build quality- but then nothing is.

I don't know. A while back I had a gunsmith adjust all my triggers to a 3lb let off, the aim being to get the let off as similar as possible on all my hunting guns. He could not do anything about the 9422 M or the 7600.

I have a love hate relationship with my 7600- I don't like the fact that I have to carry it locked and I don't like the button safety, preferring a hammer style lever gun safety, problem is it is too darn accurate to bring myself to sell.

I have a 35 whelen 7600 though not with the pedigree of yours. Mine will shoot clover leafs if I do my job right. They are naturally free floated and shoot brilliantly once you get used to the trigger.

I can understand why you are upset. Aside from the scratch, it looks like a nice bit of kit.
What loads are you using? When I had a Browning 92 357 I decided to use up some wad cutter loads I had around the place- they would not feed properly. Longer bullets did however feed without a problem.

I know a fellow in Sydney who has a scooter with a 300 cc motor- reckons the added oomph and resultant safety compensate for a bit of an increase in fuel. He is probably right- I cannot see a 125 being able to accelerate out of trouble.
