Hi guys,
I am considering getting a Marlin Cowboy in 45/70 (to go with my guide gun) and was wondering if anybody has one? Any thing to say about them, good or bad would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: POLITICS - PBS Palin Poll and left-wing action
The poll says 49% to 49% so I don't see where anyone is exactly cheating or running away with it. But I will say that I don't think Caribou Barbie is qualified for much of anything let alone being one heart beat away from the Presidency.

So we should elect that idiot mcbush so that he can put right wing fanatical judges on the bench while he screws everything else up too? Then he can get Roe vs Wade overturned and get abortions back where they belong, in the alley being performed by failed medical students. Tax cuts for corporations...

I'm more worried about all the freedoms that are currently being lost under the bush administration in the name of keeping us safe from some phantom terrorists. Patriot act.. yeah right.

IIRC, Luke Perry is one of the few younger Hollywood "stars" that is an avid shooter and gun rights supporter. Probably explains why he is not a "name plate" movie star... Or it could be that he's a pretty crappy actor and have nothing to do with some sort of liberal conspiracy.

Re: Politics: Hunters vs. Shooters (Re: November)
I'm a hunter and a shooter and no one loves their guns more than I do but if you think McBush is going to take care of us you're sadly mistaken. When was the last time the Repub party had a crappier candidate? Plus there are a lot of other important issues to be worked on as well. Everyone says Obam...

Re: SCOTUS
If they don't want U.S. law to apply to U.S. prisoners, they shouldn't put them in U.S. facilities inside U.S. territories. The Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay is most definitely not US territory. It is "leased" from Cuba, as it has been since 1902; even though they haven't taken payment ...

sw41mag, I'm sure that you feel discriminated against. I'm not going to argue the point with you. However, let me clue you in on a few little secrets: 1. My first experience with racism was when I was 12 years old. A group of blacks told me "you better get your white butt out of here before we...

Norinco.....Are they made in china????? I think they are.... Personally i would not buy a chinese gun! Yes it is made in China and as much as I really don't care for the trade imbalance, etc. I'll say this about my experience with a Chinese gun. I bought a PolyTech AK from china in 1989 or so, just...

OT Shotgun question
Hey guys,
Anybody know anything about Interstate/Norinco shotguns? I was looking at an ad for one of their side by side coach guns but was wondering if it's good or what? Anybody have one? Shot one? Is it worth it or should I run away as fast as I can?

Obama doesn't recognize his white heritage because BHO is himself a racist. There was a time in this country when blacks were suppressed, however that day is past. As I look as racism in America today, blacks are far more racist than their white counterparts. By the way, how is it that when blacks ...

So, my question is this - for any of you on BP medication, what do you use, and what side effects did it/does it have? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not discuss this in front of everyone (you can tell I'm not bashful! ) Thanks guys!!! As an Emergency Room Trauma Nurse for 17 years, an I...

Quite disturbing if you ask me. They never apologized to us for 9-11 - why should we grovel before them? Granted, the soldier shouldn't have used it in the first place but the events afterward and the apology just added insult to injury. As a nation, we spend way too much time worrying about politi...

Do people get spooked by Safepackers? Well, I can walk right into the Galleria Mall in Uptown Houston, Texas, with a Safepacker, and get no alarmed looks. To add to that, I took mine into the Apple Store in an Austin mall last week while dropping off a machine for some service. I was in there for o...

I got up into the forest today and shot the 1895GS with 405gr hard cast hand loads. It actually shot great and hit whatever I was aiming at. So that's good news. I know that every company has some problems and I already have a couple of other older Marlins that are just great so I was very surprised...

What happened to Marlin and quality control?
So I traded a rifle I didn't want anymore for a brand new Marlin 1895GS from my local fun store on Saturday. Decided to see how it loaded and functioned on Sunday and found that the cartridges that I fed into the magazine were just coming out into the receiver and that the lifter wasn't lifting them...

Advice on Marlin 1894 in 45LC please
Need some advice/help on this one boys. I have a line on a Marlin lever, looks like the 1894 model with 20" barrel, not octagonal, in 45LC. Asking $399 new in the box. Does that sound like a good deal?

I always carry a pistol and (usually a rifle too) hiking out here in the forests in Colorado. A Ruger BlackHawk in .45LC and usually a Winchester 94 Trapper in .45LC. Had to pull the pistola once on a fella that was letting his dogs menace me and my daughters in the National Forest. He back pedaled ...
