I have just obtained a new-in-box Winchester (Miroku) 1873 Trapper in 357/38. Because I shoot indoors at a 100 yard range, I prefer FMJ bullets to cut down on lead. I have purchased two Rossi 92's in the last two years. First a blued 357, then a stainless 357. Both operated flawlessly out of the box, however I did buy the Steve's Gunz DIY action kit and use it on both rifles. Im thinking of the parts most likely to wear over time. The extractor, the firing pin, not sure what else might go on an 1873. I will be keeping it stock.
