FWIW, Lipsey's offers current exclusive Flattop models, both blued and stainless. I'm considering a 4 5/8 stainless 357 convertible (9mm)

I'm still breaking in a new Simply Rugged pancake holster (OWB) and prefer wearing it crossdraw for more comfort (so far anyway).
Reducing carbs and my waist would certainly help for either side :roll:

Like Scott, I've struggled with my waistline for years. Yep, carbs are mainly my problem.....and that I apparently metabolize less efficiently than many others.

I have been waiting awhile to purchase a 357 levergun, to go with two Ruger revolvers.
I just ordered a new Ruger Marlin 1894, 357 mag.
As I browse the Marlin "dark series" rifles, the darn thing is growing on me, kind of starting to like it.

This is what I've been waiting for. Ruger/Marlin has the 1894, 38 Spl/357 mag levergun on its website. Near as I can tell, pretty much the same specs & dimensions as before.

The 303 Savage IS an interesting, vintage caliber. RCBS (and likely others) would certainly produce custom dies for you, if needed.
As you probably already know, copper solid bullets need to run full throttle to expand properly. Best wishes with your new endeavor !

Yard hydrants are quite useful, but a necklace is likely cheaper. I installed two here on the farm, back when we built the house in 02'. Kimber Revolvers

Anyone here familiar with Kimber DA revolvers ? Was browsing a handgun case full of revolvers and noticed a neat little 3" Kimber 357. About the same size as Ruger SP101 3" and fit it my hand quite well. Quality seemed very good.
