Re: Gas Piston vs Springer

I gave up on spring guns a year ago and bought a Marauder PCP and sure aint looking back. It would be nice if Sharp or someone would bring the Sharp Innova back or a good quality multi pump. Lewis and Clark had PCP guns on their journey. I remember reading about the Sharp Innova, never seen one in ...

Gas pistons do not fatigue, have a smoother shot cycle, and are quieter as a general rule. Funny, I had always heard the same thing... But... But recently, my neighbor brought me over his Gamo "Bone Collector Bull Whisper" gas-piston .177 pellet rifle to try. Maybe it needs to be broken i...

I don't really care what terms people use, so long as they make sense and I can follow their intended meaning. But the fact remains that 'Words mean things'. A clip is a retention mechanism. A magazine is a storage device. A clip is used to load or charge an internal or a detachable magazine. A car...

I'm not convinced of the effectiveness of picking up the brass. It may be similar, and may have some distinctive marks, but I'm thinking as far as actual convictions go, it will probably be a little too coincidental to other firearms. But this is not exactly new stuff. Maybe the database. Might help...

Another way to think of the scale. Here is a Ruger Bearcat below an Uberti "Colt 1849 Pocket Model". This is a reproduction of the #1 selling cap & ball revolver Colt ever made (during the period). It is a 5-shot .31-caliber compared to the 6-shot .22 rimfire Bearcat. http://i100.phot...
