I ended up with a couple of Marlin TD's that were made by Lee Hadaway for a gun shop in the south that are awful nice, but have the 20" barrel on each. They are also not in the caliber that you are looking at Mike, but I sure like them. The Chiappa has the caliber, barrel length and finish goin...

I'm also a fan of the Browning, but in this case I sure like the idea of a 16.25" .22WMR. That's a lot of rimfire power in a compact handy little carbine. That would be my choice. Good luck with your decision.

Ok, let me start by saying that photobucket is horrible! Then let me add that the Model 89 is awesome! I picked up the BHA a few days after I posted that I got a call letting me know that it was done, on a Thursday. Friday, I grab 10 rounds of HSM ammo and am anxious to tell you all how great it is....

The one that I carry the most is a Smith 396 Mountain Lite 44 spl. Its the aluminum with 3" barrel and adjustable sights. Light and accurate.

Hunting, I take a 5" SAA by Colt. Just cause.
