Re: OT- "Go shoot these animals for me"
Men shell out fortunes to get to be the predator and in turn fund keeping those very animals alive. Never seen a lion pay 13k for the habitat upkeep of its prey. Regardless of how it is taken, this money is what allows them to keep those animals around. I fail to see the ethical issue some are runni...

Pistols and rifles must be larger than .22 rimfire.
Only one that bothers me is the lame hunter safety course I had to take. Why couldnt I skip straight to a test?

I kinds did the same thing with my .357 Marlin... I have a TruGlo sight that looks like the one you're using, but it doesn't go "dim" enough to use at night, and around here there are so many goat-eating coyotes and chicken-eating raccoons that it requires a very dim dot so you can use it...

I've also always wondered why the army uses .223... Is it because its low recoil and cheap? and because it tumbles to cause larger wound channels as a loophole around the ban on expanding projectiles?

What about equal kinetic energy? What if that 310 grainer were going 1530fps instead ;) That's where I am lost. Some claim higher speed, even with equal overall energy, causes much greater damage. Light and fast vs Heavy and slow?
A discussion on another forum about .223 vs .357 (From carbine) got me to thinking about this. A full house .357 load from a carbine has more energy out to a certain range than a .223. The main controversy was whether or not a slow fat heavy round would do less damage than a small fast round. I thou...

I like the reloading method. I don't like thinking about how much ammo I have in the gun or worrying about running out. No reloading a clip etc... I just stuff more rounds in to the side of the gun. One shot of .22LR is not a killer, but it's so easy to shoot, I believe I could get off at least 3 or 4 shots in under a second at close range into center of mass, or even the head.
