Glad the little squirt is going to be OK. BTDT as many of us have. Prayers continue for your family. This is a great site. Although I don't know many of you personally, I feel like you folks are my family. I got a little weepy last night as I saw everyone that was praying for someone they will proba...

Re: What's wrong with this picture? - Updated 1/12/10

The new Accura came in last night and the Kodiak Pro is on its way back to CVA. All looks well with the Accura. Scope base and sights line up correctly and I'm looking forward to getting out and shooting this one. The Accura has a much better trigger too. They say it’s set at 2.5# and I believe it. ...

Roger that.

The nice thing is that the panel is in the garage on an exterior wall with an adjacent door and the area is fenced off. I can have the panel wired to a disconnect and then straight through the wall to a weather-proof box. Should work slick.

Thanks for the replies gents. I realize that the generator size I'm looking at won't run my whole house. That's not the point. All I want it to run is a couple of lights, the fridge, tv or radio and the heater blower. (we have nat gas). I know about wiring the panel for the hook-up. The genset will ...

I'm looking at picking up a genset for the house for power outages and for camping excursions. Any words of "wisdom" from the peanut gallery?

Requirements are:

Portable with wheels
Good parts and repair service availability
Less than $1000

D-d-d-don't w-w-want to hear it.

It's 11° here in OKC with a -6° wind chill. North winds at 18 with gusts to 36.

BRRRRR!

Now we wait for Nanook to chime in that we're whiners 'cause it's -30° where he is.

Those spring-wire blinds mentioned above reminded me of mine. They do work and I've taken deer from them but mine was all but useless in winds 20 mph and up which are common here in OK. I've moved on to a hub type blind.

I have the exact monopod you're looking at. I've abandoned mine. The two things I don't like are the rubber coating on the "V" top and the stability. The rubber coating sticks to the rifle. Under recoil, the rifle and thus the top of the monopod move rearward. This changes the elevation of...
