See what Bruce Scott posted -- it's a Maltby #4 Mk I rifle, fabricated in 1943. Now, is the S/N on the bolt same as on the receiver? "MK405xxx" is a S/N applied by the importer -- CAI. Some importers apply another S/N. IIRC, it has something to do about being compliant w/ the Gun Control A...

More than likely what you have is a Lee-Enfield No.4 Mark I. After WW II, some No.4 Mark I's were "converted" to "Mark II" standards by alerting the manner in which the trigger is fitted to the action. The No. 4 Mark I trigger mounted on the trigger guard. The Mark II trigger mou...

IMHO, the best fighting revolver is the S&W 625 (or its “grandfather“, the M1917) in either .45ACP or .45 AutoRim. For serious work, I would want my 3" or 4" .45 AutoRim S&W 625. Then again, the ol’ S&W Model 15, K-38 Combat Masterpiece is sure handy too. Four inch barrels on t...

I think I'll still w/ the roll crimp which works well in my revolvers. I was just wondering if the Lee factory Crimp Die would do a better job. May also try the taper crimp dies that I have. For some reason, I never really gave them much use.

It is a breech-seating tool.
Place the bullet in the case, then push it into the rifling to center the bullet in the bore. The loaded case was then placed behind it.
Such tools were popular w/ the Schuetzen-era shooters.
