My brother-in-law in Utah wants to buy a 9mm pistol from me. I live in NC. Neither of us have FFL's. What do I need to do? I have been trying to find the answerer on the ATF website but that is a little like doing my taxes, I can't get through the garbage to find the answerer.

Season for Whitetail opens here in NC that day. I have to go to my only grandsons first birthday party in SC Sat. We aren't allowed to hunt on Sun. here but I will out in force Monday morning with my 86, 45-70.

Only if the barrel is totally coplanar with the gravitational field. Primarily I was just trying to find a measure for best COL for reloading cartridges in a given rifle. You all bring up a good point as to ways to measure true head-space as well. Thanks for the input.

Does anyone know of a good and ACCURATE head-space or chamber gauge. I am looking for one that can be used in calibers from 22-250 thru .338 and 45-70. It would also have to measure many in between. I found a few on the web but have no experience with any of them to know if they are any good.

The cut down '92 is legal in NC. It is considered a handgun. There are a couple guys here that use them for CAS as pistols.

Although I have done it to my guns, I don't believe that this gun can be sold "as new" when it has had these aftermarket mods. Bypassing the safety devices could place the seller and buyer at risk of potential lawsuits. That being said, the modifications alone are easily worth the extra 3...

I thought there was a thread about this earlier. I did a search and couldn't find it. I am looking for a combo sling recoil pad for my 45-70 extra light. (shotgun style butt stock). I would prefer one that I do not have to drill the stock for swivels. Any ideas???

I was there in Houston for business for Rita and there again for Gustav. Had to bug out for both of them. Took me 26 hrs to drive from Houston to Dallas when Rita came in.
