Re: OT - I’m Pumped, Early PA. Muzzle Loader Season.

Roger that early M/L hunting! I'm sure some of the PA guys know where Assateague Island National Seashore is, just south of Ocean City. I'm going for the first part, they only allow primitive guns for 10/12-17, then inlines for the next week. I'd rather flintlock 3 days for sika deer than 3 weeks of...

Re: Prettiest levergun

Re: Range day LTDIII and Grandpa's Model 70, 250-3000

Go to ebay and find a copy of Lawrence Koller's "Shots at Whitetails". It was written in 1948, he died in the 60's, and there are some updates by his wife & gun authors in the 1970-something reprint. It is full of whitetail hunting craft, hunting camp & hunting club life in New Yor...

Re: OT- Would you shoot a mountain lion with a bow on foot?

Absolutely, protected species or not. I've read too much about them stalking the hunter. If the cats bother you, I'd say hunt elsewhere and forget sneaking a firearm on federal property. Like Kevin Kline tells Scott Glenn ("Silverado", where they are discussing busting Kevin Costner out of...
