Hi-- my all-time favorite .22-cal rifle is the Henry Classic Lever Action Carbine, not expensive, but it is very accurate... :)

I agree--my all time favorite .22-cal rifle is a Henry Classic Lever Action Carbine (16 1/8" barrel, big-loop). I know it's an inexpensive levergun made of steel, aluminum, and wood but this carbine out-shot my Browning BL-22. So I kept the the Henry and sold the Browning... :) H001L-Lever-Carbine-h...

I have two Marlin 1894c (.357-mag), both have a 18.5" barrel. As I always like a 16" barrel the 18.5" barrel is a good compromise. The standard Marlin 1894c is easy to carry, well balanced, and a good option to hunt with... :)
