Re: Cimarron 1866 32-20
. If I had a bunch of money I'd have a Ruger SP101 made in 32-20. I think that would be fun. I've looked into it. Very expensive quotes, and none of them seemed enthusiastic. The rim diameter on the .32-20 means a custom cylinder with specific timing needs to be made. 7 or 5 rounds instead of 8 or ...

I've been to some pretty pathetic ones before.
Not sure the Billings show would make the bottom tier.p
If I see just 1 interesting item for sale, I'm usually happy.
Anything beats the DFW metroplex shows that are all a sea of black plastic.

I went 2 years ago and it was big enough to be worth going to.
Not as big as the big shows in the DFW area, but also more diverse.
I'll PM my phone number later and if y'all are there, text me so we can shake hands.
I'm planning on Friday but ya never know.

I got to meet M.M. Wright a couple of times in Tulsa before he passed.
When they had to change the date from October to November it made it hard for me to make the fall show. Usually April is easier for me.
I know there are several Montana folks on here.....

I have the Hornady manual. They dont show H110 but do have 4227. Those two are close enough that 15gr to 16gr for H110 is a reasonable max to extrapolate from the 4227 data. The Hornaday 10th edition lists H110. Send me an email and I'll send you a screen shot (won't post it here since it's copyrig...

The only other manual I have that lists HV loads is the Accurate #2...and it only lists AA powders.

The Hornaday reloading manuals have data on .32 WCF HV loads. Which is strange, because Hornaday is usually very conservative.

I have a Skinner barrel-mounted peep on my 1886 Browning carbine. Love it.
No, its not as inherently accurate as a receiver mount or tang, but it's less obtrusive and required no additional drilling/ tapping.
At the ranges I shoot that carbine, it is plenty accurate.
I highly recommend.

A 2-stage trigger is the way to go! If you have an 8 pound pull on a 2-stage trigger, something is wrong. The 1st stage essentially removes the safety and leaves the 2nd stage as a very light trigger. Someone will miss interpret that and argue. I have all Rock River 2-stage triggers on most of my ARs.

Re: The cost of reloading versus buying loaded ammunition
Reloading is, by far, the most expensive hobby I have ever had....not counting shooting.
At one time, I had more money tied up in equipment and supplies than I did firearms.
I fixed that by buying more guns!
I can usually load 50 for what it costs to buy 20.
So I get to shoot 150% more

Not 100% sure what you're asking...
The .30-30 case length and trim length is only .001 less than the 32 WS, so it should work. Close enough anyway.
Which particular Lee tool are you referring to? The 90136?
You could definitely use the 32 WS tool to trim the 30-30.
