Bridger, the length may be ok, but the case gauge/pilot will be too small allowing the cutter end to not cut square. The gauge should be tight/snug on the cutter end. JBowen Ahhh. Not 100% sure what you're asking...
The .30-30 case length and trim length is only .001 less than the 32 WS, so it should work. Close enough anyway.

Which particular Lee tool are you referring to? The 90136?

You could definitely use the 32 WS tool to trim the 30-30.

Are you positive it doesn’t have a damaged crown or a ringed barrel? I find it hard to believe conventional bullets will not work. I had a 284 that would not shoot even after a recrown. I'd try a .309 bullet mould 1st, unless he's just dying to shoot jacketed.
Might even have a custom made .310 mould made

Try loading some .312 (32-20) cast bullets and see how accurate they are.
