I too use Blackhorn 209 but in a more modern muzzleloader. I have a G2 50 caliber barrel for my Contender that has an Aimpoint mounted on it. Perfect for the type of hunting we have here in Massachusetts.

I know some states prohibit electronic communications while hunting. I know the state of NH does not allow it for the moose season and they will ruin your day if caught using a cell phone or FRS radio while hunting moose.

If I can shake this sinus infection thing going on I plan to do some after work scouting. Almost tempted to call in again. I have a suspicion that the deer are circumnavigating this large beaver bog. I am not sure if they'll cross it as it is quite large and appears deep in some places.

Great image. Black powder can be fun but here in my area most shooters use the subsitute H777 for their muzzleloading applications. You still get a big cloud of smoke.
