The gun I really wanted when I was a young adult was a Colt Frontier Scout, but I couldn't afford one so I got an H&R nine-shot .22 revolver. I still have the H&R and a whole bunch more, but not the Colt. (Could you even find a Frontier Scout now?)

I just checked all four of mine, made from 1969 to 2008, and, yes, they all have trigger flop. It bothers me absolutely none at all. But if it bothers you, it's good to have a way to fix it.

I still have the Model 742 in 6mm Remington I bought in 1972. It was plenty accurate for all the deer I shot with it, and the 6mm Rem is, based on my experience, an excellent deer cartridge.

A 40mm scope at 3 power has an exit pupil (diameter of the exiting beam of light) of just over 13mm. A 20mm scope at 3 power has an exit pupil of 7 mm. A number of forums seem to be having problems and not just outdoor/shooting forums. One I belong to dealing with astronomy recently did an "upgrade" but had to go back to the old format after severe problems developed.

While I am glad all of my leverguns are Marlins, except for one Henry, my only Rossi is a 2" barrel DA .38 Spc. It is as smooth as can be and always goes bang when I pull the trigger.

Assuming the Winchester 1886 was first made in 1886, since this rifle clearly has seen a lot of use, I'd say the photo was taken well after 1886. Was there really any frontier left in the continental United States by then?

I shot a nice buck last year at very short range with a 240 gr XTP out of my 1894SS. I don't know what the velocity was. The bullet did not exit, but it didn't matter. He went down very quickly well within sight, maybe within 20 yards or so. The effect of the bullet was, in a word, devastating.

Once while deer hunting, with an orange vest on as required by state law, I leaned against a pine tree while a large flock of turkeys fed all around me. The orange didn't alarm them a bit. Just for the fun of it I waved a hand and watched them take off in all directions!

I bought the .44 magnum because I already have a Marlin 1894 and a Ruger Super Blackhawk and I reload .44 magnum. But .44 M factory ammunition is readily available and not too expensive. Can't say that for .35 Whelen.

I've had a few. What I get is a shimmering region that I see with both eyes. It grow larger but becomes less intense and then goes away after 20 minutes or so. I can't identify anything that might have caused them.
