I use one (only on front) when turkey hunting, have used it when shooting ducks etc, shows up well against sky, but don't know if it helps, I aint looking at it. I am staring bird in the eye, never really see the sight.

I would say the 180's would be fine. I do not notice extra recoil from 165 to the 180's or the 200's. But that is me not her. Are there reduced recoil loads in 308? If she shot them while "practicing" and then slip the 180's in for the hunt, she will never know. The TSX might not be bad id...

I would recommend camo. Lot of things you can't control shooting turkeys, being disguised and hidden the best you can is one thing you CAN control.

I understand the SD thing, but I tend not to over think it depending on the situation as I shoot 170gr bullets in my 32 special, when that same weight bullet is available to me in 30-30 which would give it better SD, but experience tells me no difference (or not enough) But that is bullets in differ...

How do you get a hold of a new Mauser? From website, all I get is a phone number and address to some one in San Antonio. I know this is not a lever, but I am asking for a reason.
