Re: Mossberg 464's

I looked over a 464 w/pistol grip very closely and it's not bad. I did notice some things that stood out as needing improvement. First, the second safety tab behind the trigger similar to Marlin's button under the lever. Conceptually OK but execution wise, not so good. I found that I had to not just...

Re: OT-Seller unbiased opinion of the new Colt 22LR M4

Saw a few in person at the gunshow this weekend. Talked to the sellers and they said that they haven't gotten any nibbles on them yet. When I asked how they worked they said, "Great after you break them in." Makes me wonder how many rounds they need through them till they're 'broken in', 5...

Re: Too Many Rifles

Oh, those aren't all my rifles nor most of my pistols either. They are just the ones I have in my work area. The M1 Carbine and the pistols are the only ones that stay there, while the others just cycle in and out when I'm using them. Most of my guns are in a large safe in another part of the house.

Yep, and it doesn't have to be back up in the woods either. We live up in a small valley s/w of Denver that has a large number of 'greenbelts' in the gullies and other wide areas of open land left natural for the wildlife. In fact, our valley is designated as a private game preserve. If the winter i...

Not to worry. I've had my M1 Carbine for 36 years and will never sell it. Many guns have come and gone during that time but I've never even considered parting with my M1 Carbine. Steve, Thanks for the information. Hopefully I'll avoid that problem because what I did was make the 20" carbine's carrier feel the same as my 24" rifle's carrier does, not lighter. Before, it was much stiffer to push down with the action open. What I did was try to duplicate the pressure ...

Feeding Problem on Rossi - Found and Fixed

I found that after I gave my 357 Rossi Carbine an action job I was getting an intermittent feeding problem. In addition, Eastern deer species are on generally on the smaller side of the spectrum. * Others of us live and hu...
