I got a hold of the seller last night he felt bad for what happened and said he would try to get the rifle back from the shop where it was sold. I stated as long as it is in the condition that was described online it was okay with me. He is said he would let me know tonight. Thanks again for all the...

I see this kind of thing mentioned in the feedback comments of quite a few sellers. Often it happens to sellers who have lots and lots of otherwise good feedback. Seems lots of them sell the rifles in their stores and online at the same time. I've even seen a rifle or two that were for sale on GunB...

You know, it's not a perfect world but we always can make it better. If it were me I'd cut the seller some slack, take him at his word as to what happened, and look for another Marlin 410. Just my 2¢. Sounds great! I would love to do that if I could find one for under $600. If you see one out ther...

OT: Gun Broker seller will not sell after the auction

I won a bid a few days ago for a Marlin 410, after the bid closed I sent an e-mail asking where to send the check his response: "I have some bad news my son sold it to a friend he did not know I had it for sale on Gun Broker, do you want me to try to get it back? After I replied yes, he will no...

You'd be better off buying an old 336 and fitting a 410 barrel to it. Just fitting the barrelo wont be all you need to do though! The loading gate opening needs to be enlarged to accomodate the 2 1/2" .410 shells, unless you want it to be a singlshot lever 410! They use the same gate, but a la...

The problem is that since 1975 I have always used a straight stock Marlin 1895 rifle for everything. With that said, when I pick up a pistol grip stock it feels like a fat woman's ankle. So my choices are either buy a 410 Marlin and convert it to straight stock or convert one of my straight stock 18...

Marlin made a 410 levergun not too many years ago. It would be easier to look for one of them to purchase. +1. Shops were full of them two-three years ago. In fact, no one around here was buying them. Then almost overnight they disappeared as if beamed up to the Enterprise. Here's one from the most...

Marlin 1895 to Marlin 410?

Is it possible to get a new .410 barrel and modify the bolt on a Marlin 1895 action to make a .410 straight stock marlin lever action?
I called marlin today, they said they do not do that kind of caliber work on Marlin 1895's
Any thoughts?
I would love to have a .410 lever for dove in Texas!

Thanks for the tip, will give it a try. I was thinking more in line with cycling the rounds from the mag tube up to the breech. That way I can have a chance next year for dove season.

Went to Gunsite to take the 270 rifle course from Col. Cooper, it was the best money I ever spent. My personal belief is it will change the way you think about living your life with a gun.

What caliber is it now? Maybe I shouldn't say anything, but I can't help it. I have seen 45ACP leveractions before, and I have never shot one. But I did run into some probems with a Ruger Convertable 45ACP/45 Colt Revolver. I found that the Ruger was very picky on the brands of ammo I shot through ...
