150 grain Speer and IMR 4895 is what I will Probably start with tonight, since I was loading some o6 with that combo Sunday.

Killed a couple of deer with 7.62x39 out of a Norinco sks. Furthest was about 70 yards. Them deer did not know they wern't killed by a 30-30.

I do have a Rossi 92 in 44, and a model 29 Smith tha I sometimes carry as a pair. Not often though. If I have the Rossi full to the gills I believe it will take care of anything I need to shoot. If they were unopended they should be fine. If had been opened I would use them for fertilizer since you don't know history. Should be lot number stamped on can(on the bottom if I remember right) can track date by them.

Out of a carbine the little 30 will take deer cleanly out to 100 yards with 110 grain softpoints. Only thing I killed with my blackhawk when I had it was aradillos, it blew them up pretty good.

When I carried a 9 it was full of Cor-bon 115 Grain +P. I killed quite a few hogs in traps and finishing wounded ones with My PK-89 and the most impressive penitration and wound channels where from the Cor-bon.
