FWIW if the ammo is the same I've seen at the local Cabela's it's Ultramax remanufactured ammo.

.30-30 336s seem to be pretty prevalent around here. Could one be rebarrelled to .38-55? Would there be more involved than just a barrel swap?

Would it be worth the time/effort/cash if I was just wanting a project?

H&R Buffalo Classic question

I see these come with Lyman front and Williams rear sights but are they tapped for glass as well?

I'd probably never use a scope more than once or twice on it but the option would be nice.
