plattski, just so's you don't think you're alone ... you're not. I'm a hard core gun lover; been shooting one kind of firearm or another since I was six. I come from a family of career soldiers ... all liberals, by the way; most see liberty and liberal as inseperable elements of citizenship and see ...

Whew  You're too right, Oz memories are what it's about. Made a little money and spent some too; but the only thing tha...

Thanks to all for putting me on the right path. I was heading out when I thought, "there's one more place to check" A little gun shop near Bremerton, Wa. called Boerner's Firearms. Sure enough they had a very clean '58 or '59 as near as we could tell from the book, Marlin 336CC for what I ...

Yeee haaaa! I love you guys. There's nothing better than having experts tell you exactly what you wanted to hear    Especially like your logic Ysabel Kid. And thanks to you J. Miller for clearly putting to rest the accuracy/range bugaboo. It's only money, it's only money. On my way to...

  I'm one of the most impulsive and impatient types around. In the brief time I've been considering the leap into leverland, I've been obsessing about it constantly. Couple of questions: If I decide to buy new, anything wrong with the new Marlin 336? They have a 20" barrel. Will I los...

gotta have one
Thanks, folks. Have our local "big" gun show coming up in two weeks; will definitely be looking there ... might be able to swap some of the AK ammo there. And then like you said in the mean time, pawn shops etc. Glad the Marlin is a good starter choice. My buddy thought the same thing. But...

Gotta have one!
:D Greetings. First time poster here. I made the fortunate/or un- :o move of picking up and fondling one of my friend's commemorative Winchesters yesterday. Hadn't touched a lever gun since my grandad's when I was about 14. Man, hit me like a ton of bricks. What a great design. So, probably a very f...
