My mould came Friday also and I managed to get a few cast in short order. I shot a few over the Crony today and hopefully can make it to the range in the morning. Mine came out of the mould about .312 and I sized them to .310. I don't like to get lube on the noses either but I thicken LLA by leaving...

Hard to beat the most famous levergun round of all, the 30-30! Especially if you reload, you can load 110gr bullets for varmints and 170grs. for elk and cover everything inbetween pretty well as long as you don't try to stretch the range. Brass is cheap and easy to come by and if you get into castin...

I've got the same rifle and you're going to have a ball with it! I mostly shoot the Speer 75grFP and recently got a mold for an 80grGC cast bullet thats working out great. The best powder I've found in the 25-20 and the 218 Bee is Accurate Arms 1680, great accuracy and velocity and it's very fine gr...

I also shoot an 1894CL and the bullet I've used the most is a Rem 45grHP. The nose is blunt enough I've never worried about it and I've shot a pile of them through this rifle, also the recoil isn't enough to really worry about. I use a Lee FCD with them, I've never had any problems with them pushing...

I've been using the Lee 150grFN GC mould and have had pretty good luck with these bullets at around 2000fps. A new 2 cavity mould is under $20.00 and should get you going until RD's moulds get here, I'm in on his buy also and am looking forward to it, should be a great bullet!

I had a Marlin 336 rebarreled to 25-35 a couple of years ago with a Douglas 1-10 barrel and I've used 75 to 117gr bullets in it and they've all shot great. Get it lined and have fun with it,it's a great caliber!
