Congratulations on giving a good home to a rifle in need of a place to stay. Some of those unfortunate firearms are homeless due to circumstances beyond their control and were not abused. Hope it appreciates you and never gives you any trouble.

In Texas, that would be on overgrown monster with shrunken antlers. The anemic border collie sized deer here in Texas are bred for antler mass the size of the deer. Well, almost. I hunted roe deer in Poland with a 30-06 and it was too much gun for the situation. I had only 1 gun with me over there and my main hunt was a red stag, so the 30-06 was quite appropriate for that hunt. I have one dog who will bark to go out about 5:30, and when I let him back in afterwards, he runs in and jumps on the bed and lays down right where I was sleeping. He even puts his head on the pillow. He closes his eyes and pretends to be asleep.

In this area, game farms or a deer lease are about the only way. It has a lot to do with the high fences and so much pressure on the public land that there isn't a lot of game out on public property. Having been to the Boars Nest, I can vouch for the fact that those hogs are not at all domesticated....

I didn't hear anything. I heard about the threats, but it didn't cause me to do anything different. Condition orange is pretty much a constant when you work with pills which people would kill to obtain. A smile and polite manner can sure cover the fact that you are still on alert.
