Re: Best 30-30 bullet to reload for hogs

I have heard stories of hogs big enough and tough enough that a 30-30 doesn't penetrate the hide and gristle at the shoulder. Has anyone actually seen a hog big enough for that to be real??? All I have ever seen is that a good 170 grain bullet works just fine. No need for anything expensive in my ex...

On centerfire, that is great. On rimfire, I can't always find what is best. Even just windage adjustable is helpful on rimfire. At least, it is to me. I may need to file my Cheap Chiappa pistol's front sight. It needs some more range time before I do that. Good groups so far, but all low and to the ...

Re: Finding an Optic for a Chiappa Alaskan

Just my experience, but scopes usually are quality and price related. Vortex scopes are a little better for the price than most. Even so, the top quality higher priced scopes are better. At .44 Magnum ranges, a good middle of the road scope should do well. Vortex, Bushnell, Leupold, and Weaver shoul...

Not much to add beyond what has already been said. Most modern semi-autos are slightly unwieldy in close quarters, hence the short barrel M4, and...
