I love where I am at, I don't plan on leaving. I am just making shure that I have all of the bases covered. California almost allways grandfathers so I plan on focusing on auto pistoles for the next two years.

The luger was the first handgun I ever fired. They seem to fit my hand perfect, I have never owned one but I would like to :D . Anyway all the ones I have shot like 115 grn ball, they are a very fun gun to shoot and are quite accurate.

I dont know about that, but if your .444 is a marlin with micro groove you can shoot remington 2 1/2 inch .410 shells in it. You are exactly right. Taking down a large mammal firing at you from behind your refrigerator or kitchen counter wouldn't need the slight power edge provided by a 12 gauge. But believe me, if I'm protecting my family, I'm blowing holes right through mama's new refrigerator - with my 12 gauge. Well....

Dont get me wrong I like the the .45 next gun buy will be a 1911 :D , I love it's history and it is a GREAT P.D. round. But in my eyes the .40 is the best, It has a one shot stop rating that is the same as the .357 125 grn J.H.P., and it fits in a 9mm sized pistol. Plus I shoot the .40 better at lon...

Even here in california I can carry my handguns on BLM land or nat forest land, In california there is no closed season on jack rabbit or coyote, and handguns are permitted hunting weapons... as long as you have a california hunting license, witch I always have on me 8)

Actually, since they were made before 1898, they are on the antique list, and don't require any license to purchase (except for those poor souls in the Republik of Kalifornia).
