Gander Mtn in Roanoke, Va has one in thier showroom. Neat looking gun. Is this a factory offering? Or a one offbarrel job? It is in a locked case and I could not examine it. They want 1999.99 for it. JNG, happy retirement! I have a C SHarps 50-90, and have had SHilohs. It is tit for tat. Finish is slightly better on a Shiloh, but wait time is longer. Shot the 405 today with Hornady factory ammo and it is not too bad. However, it does have headspace issues. Thanks for all the pics of the latch. I have found a repro but still amy trade it off for a 95 in 30-40. Thanks, JAP

KE, I had a massive stroke in 2005. They told me I would not live, then I would be blind and crippled. Now I work 40 hours a week, shoot, do about anything I want. I do have eye issues still. Today I went to my favorite shop and there against the wall was a very ratty 1895 takedown in 405 complete with an express sight. Geoff, my 50-90 is a lot of fun. My 120lb cousin has shot it with full house loads and she brags to everyone. Likewise my sister has shot it. Takes all the way up to 110 grains of powder and 600+ grain bullets. Enjoy it!!! moodyholler

1st one was broke right out of the box. They had me send it back for repairs and then sent me a new one after 4 months. They really open the chamber up to make them feed and they are hard on brass. I really liked mine, but still did not keep it. It was a Taurus T-bolt in 45c. moodyholler
