Re: What's the lowest price you paid...
Growing up, I could get 100 rds of Remington for $.79 at Farm and Fleet. Sometimes I sprung the extra $.25 for Yellow Jackets.

Re: If you could have just one 92 ...
The current threads on the capabilities of the .357 Magnum in a carbine have set me to thinking about putting a Rossi 92 back in the lineup. I have a great fondness for the .44 Special and not much love for the .357, so I am leaning toward finding one in .44 Magnum that will feed .44 Specials -- or...

Browning B92, 44 Mag. great gun I have a kit version in a tub. po had wrecked the barrel, which i still have not gotten off. seems like it was over torqued maybe. anyway, when i get around to it, . . . . someday I ran into a similar problem with a centennial edition. PO had slightly bulged the barr...

Re: 1892 44WCF bulged barrel
I have a Browning B92 Centennial that I purchased not realizing it had a bulged 20” barrel. It took me forever to find a take-off barrel, but I eventually found a 16” take-off barrel. Now I have a very handy little carbine.

Re: Black bear breaks in and meets a '66 Uberti
I’d expect a .45 Colt would be enough gun for a black bear with correct Ammo. Obviously it ultimately was, but I’d have expected with the right ammo reloading would not have been necessary.

I do go to a few other forums, mostly staying on a select group of sub-forums. I still go to them for the other members who sometimes have some real value to add. One forum ...

Around me, $30 is a little high, $25 is a good price and $20 is a really good price. That per #.

Re: Favorite sixgun barrel length?
As much as I like shooting and carrying my 4 5/8" 45 Colt Blackhawk I would hate to shoot my 30 Carbine Blackhawk with less than it's 7 1/2". Depends on caliber. Preferred barrel length for me also depends on caliber. In a single action, I’d prefer a 7-1/2” barrel for 44 Mag; 6-1/2” for ....

Gunsmith recommendation in NC?
I’m looking for a good gunsmith who can re-barrel a Browning B92.
Any recommendations?

Re: Browning B92 barrel thread size vs original Winchester 92
Hello Kaschi -
The B92 is made by Mikuro and has Japanese (metric?) threads and will not likely fit the Winchester receiver (unless, of course, it is also a Mikuro manufactured rifle).

Re: This is what Benchmade calls an apology
I was looking for a new knife last weekend. I nearly bought a Benchmade. I ended up walking out with a Zero-Tolerance after my wife convinced me to get what I really wanted. This was before I read about the traitorous activities of Benchmade. I’m glad things worked out that way.

I like your thought process. If I had a choice of anything for a woods gun, it would probably be a 16” .357 model ‘92 in SS. Unfortunately I have no such critter in my possession,

I think the 43X will be a huge success. I looked at one the other day. It is slightly larger than my PM9, but i see it filling the same role (someday). I probably would have walked out with it had I not seen a tan Glock 19 Gen4 “used” but unfired that I was able to get for $400.

Re: First Lever Action Recommendations!
I would have to say my ‘92s are much smoother than my ‘94s and 1895. I would suggest you also consider adding Rossi to your list and Browning (if you can find one). 1 gun, that can be passed down; plinking and possibly for deer... I’d look at a Rossi 92 in .357, followed by a new 1894 CST or a Henry...

Nice!
I’m still trying to get my hands on one of those 1894CSTs. Every time I check with my LGS and they call the distributor, they are to,d they aren’t shipping yet.
This patience thing is killing me.

Hope you all stay safe.
In Raleigh we only experienced a 3 hour power outage plus a separate 1 hour internat outage (much to my daughter's disappointment).
We got a fair amount of rain, but my yard was like a desert so it absorbed a very small potion of it.

They used to offer the .357 in 16” on both a standard finger lever and a big loop. If they are starting to ship again, I’d be surprised if they didn’t offer it.
I recently picked up a .44 mag 16” new, so I am guessing it is a recent shipment.

I've been collecting $25 gift cards during the weekly grocery trips to save up for a new 1911. During lunch at work I like to stop by the new Cabela's that's just around the corner from work. I've been watching and waiting for one of the 1911s I've been looking at to go on sale or for a good one to ...
