Re: Marlin 1895 LTD
[quote="Ray Newman"]Ninety: the half octagon/half round barrel is what caught my eye along with the price. Plus I have a 'weakness' for the .45-70 Gov't. round. First reaction to the price was: "HUH"? But then again, not knowing much about when and how many made, etc., I thought ...

Re: Marlin 1895 LTD
I wouldn't pay that for the nicest one in the world. You can buy an 1886 Winchester / Miroku for that much $ . It's TWICE the file the Marlin is . My opinion of courseRay Newman wrote:Colleagues: thanks for the information. The seller has it way over-priced t US$1195.00 in my opinion....

Re: Which Tang Sight would fit my Rifle?
I tried the Lyman, but my Tang was evidently not true. Had to shim about 1/16" which made the sight look "cock-eyed".
Get the Marbles, you'll be happier in the end.

Re: Chaparral Winchester 1876 clones
Looking at the calibers, I suspect it's possibly clearance stock that's not selling. It's also possible that they are factory seconds that CDNN got at a great price. Back in the day it was common for Remington in particular and Winchester less often to offer to credit the shop a very healthy discou...

Re: Folding Rear Barrel Sight
Buffalo Arms has them. I have one on my 92/44 that has a marble Tang sight. I have the folding leaf set dead on at 50 yards, and the tang sight adjusted for 100 yards. The folding leaf has both windage and elevation adjustments for fine tuning. They make the sight With or W/O adjustments. Thanks al...

Folding Rear Barrel Sight
Want to get one for my Rio Grande to use in conjunction with my Tang sight for 25-50 yds. Does anyone make one that will fit the RG dovetail ? Had to remove the stock Buckhorn as it was in the way of the peep.

Uberti 1873
Thinking about a '73 big bore. Looking for recommendations from current owners. Do you prefer .44 or .45? Will these rifles handle magnum loads?
Would appreciate any and all input.
