I have posted on more than one occasion my dislike of the M-16. My experience was with the original model. It was no good that tired very hard to get me killed. When the boys went to Iraq and later to Afghanistan they began to have the same dislike. This was particularly apparent as the distances in...

Semi auto rifles in 5.56 & 7.62 I like Magpul. Handguns I usually use OEM. But the Mec Gar are really good

I do have some from unknown makers that have worked well, but it’s a crapshoot. One noteworthy exception were some for my AMT .45 Backup. Every bit as good as OEM And a lot cheaper.

Good thoughts Jeepnik. I reluctantly got rid of the heavy 1911 with the beavertail and switched to an XD subcompact so as to make this potentially comfortable enough that I might actually carry the thing. I've never liked IWB. It is uncomfortable. I prefer OWB. And to really irritate the IWB/AIWB (I'm not pointing a loaded firearm in the direction of my groin) crowd. I prefer cross draw. Seems to me lots of folks who carry are totally paranoid about being "made". Concealed here means you can't see it...

As I understand it, in the UK you can use like force to defend yourself, if someone attacks you with a knife you can defend yourself with a knife, it gets sticky when you shoot someone who attacks you with a knife. The police view any object used in a violent way to be an offencive weapon so if you...
