old articles

Checked the places noted above and neither of them have the extensive articles on the Winchester 71 the old Levergun had. Also I don't see a "sponsors" to click on? Forgive me but I'm abit (quite abit) computer stupid so I may be missing the obvious. Thanks,

old articles

On the old site there were some nice reference articles on Winchester rifles. How can I get a copy of them, especially those on the Model 71? Thanks.

I have replaced blank in another Browning 71 with the same Marbles brand blank bought from Brownells, no problem!? Very curious indeed. I can live with the cosmetic issue, the old barrel sight was messing with my William's receiver sight picture.

barrel blank fit

O.K., I tapped the ladder sight out . left to right, no problem. I put the Marble's barrel blank in right to left, problem!!! It just slides right through, in one side out the other? These barrel blanks come in sizes? Or am I missing some fact ( as usual).

If the winds not blowing too hard, just may go, weather not going to get much better for another three months... then it will be time to get ready for...

In Canada we can own handguns. However one cannot carry a handgun in the bush unless you have a a permit available to surveyors and prospectors. From my reading on the Alaska Hunting forums , handguns are pretty useless for grizzlies. The grizzlies I have seen in the bush are way too big to consider...

Lyman 66A sight

Found a Lyman 66A sight. Box says for Winchester 66,67,92,94,53,54,71,64.Stroebel's book on old sights does not indicate it is good for the 71. Anyone know? Hate to go to the trouble of putting it on and finding after wasting ammo I can't get on target with it. If it won't work, I'll just put it on ...

OT-Barbed wire fence

I grew up in big city but now am pretty much a country guy. I need to fix and replace some barbed wire fencing. Where can I find a book telling me what I need to get and how to do to get this job done. The ground is really rocky so there will be a mix of wooden fence poles and metal posts. Thanks!
