Re: Model 92 question
Do the Chiappa Pumas have safety?
In fact, are there any 92s being sold now that have nothing but "John Browning designed" parts in them?

Re: Relining a barrel-1894 ?
I checked into relining for my 25-35 carbine. It has a bore that is worse than what you describe. The deal breaker for me is that there is no source for liners with the correct 1 in 8" rifling twist. The fastest twist is 1 in 10". The Greenhill equation says that this will barely stabilize...

I hear what you are saying, Hobie. The calculator indicates that stability would be marginal with the standard 117gr load out of a carbine. Is the other platform with bad results something like a Contender pistol with a short barrel? Or maybe using pointed boattail bullets? Even a small change for t...

Will 1 in 10" rifling work for a 25-35?
This is a follow up to my question about how to fix a bad bore in a 25-35. There were several recommendations for re-lining by Randy Redman or John Taylor. I found that Redman does not re-line this caliber. John Taylor can do the work, but the available liner has a 1 in 10â€

Thanks for the leads on relining. Through searching I also turned up Warner Guns Inc. http://gunporting.com/ that mentions relining 25-35s and 25-36s.
I hadn’t thought about the possibility of using 1-10â€

What can I do for a bad 25-35 bore?
I have an 1894 SRC in 25-35 from 1916 that is in good mechanical condition except for a horrible bore. It's fun to shoot, but it would be more fun if the bullets all went to the same general vicinity. I’d like to get this gun working as a shooter in the original caliber. Is there any practical way...
