Re: Ruger Wrangler

I fondled one last week at the lgs. The finish doesn’t bother me at all. It felt good in the hand, but the one I held left something to be desired in the trigger. I would try one but my Hawes for some reason is like an extension of my finger point, go bang, and hit what I am aiming at. Why switch?

Re: WTB 40-65 26 inch octagon barrel for an 1886

 My problem with using the original barrel is... it appears to have been shortened an inch AND where it said 40-65 it has been x ed out and 45-70 stamped over it. The rest of the rifle is in rough shape and I am afraid a new barrel will look silly on it. As I said above may just leave it as b...

WTB 40-65 26 inch octagon barrel for an 1886

Hi all, putting out feelers to see if anyone has a 40/65 barrel for one of my 86’s. I have been through a number of ideas of what to do with this rifle (I am probably gonna leave it as is but information is a wonderful thing when trying to make a decision) including return to 40/65, re-bore to 50-10...
