Yep, I've done enough shoveling snow to last a lifetime - I'd rather cut grass.
GREAT Ysabel! Next summer you can come and cut mine!
One of my most detested chores....I let it go darn near to seed before I cut it! I'll take snow ANY day.
Excellent. i have considered a beeches for a few of my rifles, but especially my 45-75. A few questions. It has three sighting posts. what are their heights? how does it compare with the Chapparal sight height? Is the plain blade the same height as the original factory blade? Thank you in advance
Mich Hunter, I understand completely, you ordered "A" but received "B". I do like the blue on the receiver tho. My only concern is who has the original sight now? They are expensive items on ebay. Also, did he keep the original round barrel? Those are expensive too, and for the B...
So if they are rejecting everything US are they rejecting US made innoculations? US grown food? US standard of living? US health care and hospitals? US technology, etc? Are they going to be able to go over to the Crow Indian Reservation and murder Crows like "the good old days" simply to e...
Wow is right! The bosses where I work permanenetly laid off 9 people Wednesday.
Chuck, if you need someplace to "store" your excess guns maybe I can do it. I won't charge you a dime either!
I often use Kasenit compound on mild steel to case harden it. My question is, can I also use it on stainless steel? Will the carbon migrate into the surface of stainless steel and harden the surface?
Read a back issue of American Rifleman (March 1981 page 72) where they state Winchester made the 71 in .33 on special order. Any levergunners out there ever see one of these? I NEVER have.
"Tough trip through paradise" by Andrew Garcia. True story of a white man trying to stay on the level in the indian coubtry of Montana territory in 1878. Absolutely awesome. Marries a Nez Perce girl, she takes him to the Bighole battlefield a year after the fight. Some 50 or 60 years later...
Stevens serial numbers were all over the place, they followed no logical pattern. I had a Stevens Favorite serial numbered 01! But the features indicated it was made around 1900-1904, about 10 years after they first started making them. Marlinman is right on, the 44 is a weak action, they eventually...
defintiely required in 1968 GCA, most manufacturers already were using them, altho lower cost 22's were often not numbered. Henrys were numbered usually inside the gun on the tang, and everywhere else. Even the BUTTPLATE screws on henrys had the serial number  !!!!. Colt pattersons were numbe...
...we both will tell potential buyers that the rifle is not original--explain the changes. That way, whatever price they pay, they will be satisfied and hopefully feel good about the rifle. Leverbar, while the gun may not honor your Dads memory your honesty and integrity in telling potential buyers...
leverbar, sounds like an altered tang. Did you purchase the gun as an old shooter at a shooter price, or did you buy it as a shooter with investment potential? If the former and you still like the gun your problem is solved, if the latter then I would ship it back. You would forever be explaining th...
That 1/2" group was only 1 group.....my wiggles probably compensated for my wobbles!!! I need to shoot more groups with that load before I get a meaningful average. I hope that load will average around 1 1/2" or so when all is done. Tycer, no, my lino supply is limited, that is why i have ...
Bought it in April (28" bbl, 45-75 cal.) and started out with shotgun size groups, as many of you may recall. Glad to say I now have a few loads that average 2 or so inches (3 shots at 100 yards, bench). Below are some loads that show even more promise but I don't have enough data yet to know f...
